I have had these adorable gold and silver charms forever—some I got under my pillow for a lost tooth, some at my little kid birthday parties, one is a remnant of a half-lost pair of earrings. I’d tried stringing them on a silver chain and looping it around to space them…no luck—the strands sagged and choked me. So when Kacie suggested making necklaces and other jewelry delights for our last hurrah before her impending move to Hungary, I thought, hm…I’d like to copy Wendy’s water-colors bracelet. Then I thought of these charms, and an idea formed. Here it is: exactly what I wanted!! LOVE IT!!! Those are freshwater black pearls strung on between the blue glass and aqua shell beads, and of course, adorable seacharms. LOVE IT! We met at Michaels Arts and Crafts (13740 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL, 904.821.9753) to hit the sales. Bead Hawk (14180 Beach Blvd # 6, Jacksonville, FL, 904.821.9494) also has excellent (read: overwhelming) supplies of beads and charms, but let’s face it—Michaels is cheaper!
