But the rest of the time, it’s so awesome. And it’s been easier being in Pensacola than Coronado for us, because here we are one set of stairs away from the beach. Or a short trail walk through the pines to the National Museum of Naval Aviation, with its IMAX, aviator playground, and Cubi Point Cafe (the waitresses recognize us. We go there a lot). The lighthouse is just down the road. The playground is right outside our family room suite. So yeah, pretty idyllic!
There is also a hammock grove. Live oaks and saw palmettos cast shadows on the sand. A couple grills nearby roast our dinner while Eloise plays in the sand, Isaac flips himself out of the hammocks, and I lounge and try to get my blogging apps to work. We are currently having technical difficulties. Because, you know, life is hard. Hee hee.
