In our embrace of all things fall, we visited the Hunt Club Farm pumpkin patch!
Isaac was terrified of horses when he was younger. This year he hopped right on. ELOISE had no fear. She looked totally at home atop the pony.
The whole day was great—it was Isaac’s preschool girlfriend Tessa’s birthday party, so we got escorted from fun to fun without waiting in line: Hayride! Pony rides! Petting zoo! Lunch! Cake! Pumpkin patch! Amazing!
A couple days later Isaac said, “I want to have a big birthday party when I turn five!” I panicked a little, thinking of planning Tessa’s party or—my gold standard—the Bearanstain Bears and Too Much Birthday party.
“That sounds fun!” I said. “What does that big fun party look like?”
“Balloons! Carving pumpkins! And bobbing for apples!”
….so not the answer I expected.
“That sounds like a great party! We can totally do that!”
“Yeah! When I turn five!”
