Miss ELOISE hoots and hoots when she sees blueberries. Do not try to feed her yogurt when she can clearly see the blueberries RIGHT THERE on the table. She will stuff them into her little mouth as fast as she can. Sometimes they even come out undigested: pooblerries. Gross.
Anyway, this week she was feeling generous. She’d already eaten like 10 times as much as I had and was just playing with the last couple berries on her high chair tray. I put my face near her and opened wide. “Can I have a blueberry?” I asked. She cackled and stuffed her chubby hand—and blueberry—into my mouth. “Eloise, can you feed me another blueberry?” I asked. She looked down, found one, picked it up, and poked it into my mouth.
I tried asking her while she was hungry—no. I tried to get her to feed Isaac, but his happy face on her tray was too hilarious. We polished off a 2lb basket of local blueberries, plus a pint from our farm box, in like three days. BLUEBERRIES!
