Tell me it’s not the cutest thing you’ve ever seen! |
Christmas jammies on my adorable kiddos! What could be cuter?! I have all these adorable pictures and not much to say about them. I mean, they pretty much speak for themselves: there’s a lot of cute around here!
A lot of crying, too. We are celebrating advent and Christmas by enjoying nasty colds, Chris has watch every three days.
But if course we squeeze in actual fun too: Eloise and I went on the holiday homes tour of all the fancy, historic Jamestown Exposition houses on Norfolk Naval Base with a couple spouses from Chris’ ship. Chris and I went to the ship Christmas party, which was fun even though I didn’t know anyone at first. It was nice to meet his coworkers and their spouses, and admire the unbelievable variations in tattoo art. My favorites include VAMPIRE tattooed across someone’s back complete with bats all down her arm. And tons of people with scripty writing. I’d guess that’s the 2014 version of Chinese character tatoos that people got in the 90s. Hee hee.
I also joined friends for a girls night Christmas party. And we took the kiddos to Chris’ ship for the childrens’ Christmas party, which had three bounce houses in the hanger to the absolute delight of our tot.
This dang cat has it coming. I’ve had Pounce for over nine years. He went with me to my first job in Corpus Cristi. He came to Florida when Chris and I got married. We took him and Mouse to Japan, evacuated them to Texas, moved them to Florida again. And yet, here in Virginia, Pounce decides to drive everyone crazy. He’s taken up this irritating yowling. It almost sounds like a cow lowing. He’ll wait until naptime or 2:30am, then yowl on the landing outside all the bedrooms and wake up Eloise. And me. He acts all sad and snuggly when I boot him out prior to yowling, but anytime I’m a big softie and let him stay inside, ME-YOWL!!!!! ME-YOWL!!!!! ME-YOWL!!!!! If he can’t yowl inside at the bedroom doors, he yowls outside the front door to be let in. I was trying to nap with Isaac the other day when tap-tap-tap. It came again: knocking, just as we were drifting off.
