The crowning jewel of Singapore would have to be the National Orchid Garden in the Botanic Gardens. There might not be a more beautiful place in the world. While our hapless trek through the jungle brought us through a range of smells (zoo, sandalwood, jasmine, incense, lemongrass), the orchid garden smelled only of flowers and rain. It’s raining a bit, but let’s enjoy a stroll.

Beautiful! Hope your feet are recovered (recovering?) from the rough walk through the rainforest! A piggy back ride would have been a good idea that day! 🙂

Gorgeous! Definitely makes me want to go back. Find your favorite and I will paint it for you!

So lovely…I can almost smell those orchids! Love the hummingbird picture…I have recently deemed them, "harbingers of Fall" in these hot climes!

My first visit to the Botanic Garden was on a morning run. The heat, humidity, undulating landscape, and my exuberance combined to humble me miserably (I hated the place by the time I stumbled out). I've been blessed to enjoy it at a leisurely pace several times since and it really is wonderful. Your pictures are great.
