I underestimated how nice it would be to just be home. What with Chris being gone and all the blah stuff I had to deal with back here I was kind of indifferent about returning. But you know what…even though it is cold and rainy, it’s nice and warm in my house, and the kitties are happy and snugly here, and the cooler weather means that on clear days there’s Fuji-san; in warmish weather it’s shrouded by haze from this distance, but now it stands tall behind the flight line, always on the horizon wherever I go. Aaaaaaaahhhhh, what a relief just to be home! Ok so anywho, so the other day I was sitting at my desk trying to do some work but probably really just wasting time when I heard a gaggle of schoolkids herding by my house on their way back to their kindergarten on the corner. All clad in their little green field trip hats! So cute! Then it sounded like they’d paused and were shouting at my house. Huh?? Then I heard, “Neko!” which means, “Cat!” Pounce was on my windowsill in a sunbeam staring down at them and the whole class stopped and waved up at him. I popped my head up and observed this right as the teacher was really getting into the waving, so I laughed and waved back. She kind of jumped and hurried the kids along. ha ha! Kawaiiiiii! So cuuuuuuute!
