Rain can’t stop this party! Hannah, Justin, Ezekiel, Jane and Ezra met us in Katy the week of Ezekiel’s fifth birthday.
The cousins played with trains, swam at the pool, ran around the mall, jumped on mattresses, ate free ice cream and got free meatballs at area furniture stores, and—most exciting of all—went to the new Typhoon Texas water park in Katy on the morning of Ezekiel’s birthday. SO MUCH FUN.
There are these slides where they enclose you in a plastic coffin essentially, then the bottom drops out and sends you plunging in terror to the bottom. It’s as scary as it sounds.
“If the best part of the ride is the end, I don’t need to go on it again,” said Hannah.
So that was a fun rush (once I was sure I wasn’t dead). We took the older kids on the Mutton Buster slide, which they loved after they learned to pronounce the name. “What’s the Butt Muster?” Isaac asked the first time. No.
We even went on the family raft rides! So fun! Even if Chris and Justin made fun of me for all the screaming! The kids loved it so much, making it even more fun. I couldn’t believe how much fun it was. Thanks, Mama and Daddy, for that perfect Christmas present!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Ezekiel! Thank you for letting us celebrate with you!
Every time we go to Katy we go to Los Cucos for $2 margaritas and guacamole. I love going there with the fam.
Look at all these precious kiddos. What joy they bring to our lives. Thanks for hosting all of us, Mama and Daddy! See you on the West Coast!
