Shortly after Memorial Day but before restaurants and cafes had reopened in Brussels, we met up with our O’Bryant buddies to run around the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken all together. It was a cool summer day with raindrops clinging to flower petals and misty fog hanging over the palace grounds.
Stuff like this is my favorite weekend activity—we had a lazy morning at home, met up with friends to see something rarely open, free, and uniquely Belgian, then met up with friends for a beer in the neighborhood on the way home.
This is something we couldn’t do anywhere else, with people who are only here for this moment in time, as are we. Together, it feels like we’re making the most of it.
