Happy Birthday, Isaac!

Isaac turned three!! …FOUR MONTHS AGO. We celebrated his first three years and his last three days as an only child with friends, pizza and cake at the park. We actually squished the party in between my and Chris’ birthdays since Chris was going to sea for the two weeks before Eloise was born. 

We had cupcakes at preschool. Isaac was all delighted that everyone was singing Happy Birthday until they sang “…dear ISAAC…” At which point he looked startled and alarmed and said, “no!” Unclear on the concept?

I had a great idea and a terrible idea for birthday presents. The great idea was this car rug, which is fun, dampens noise, warms up Isaac’s room, and is a good activity when I’m feeding Eloise nearby in her room. The bad idea was a metal shopping cart. Isaac loves it, but it’s SO LOUD it got banned to the basement. Oops. 

Grandma came!! The best birthday present!! 

My mom and I took Isaac to the zoo on his birthday. My mom has seen Isaac for three of his four existing October 3rds! Thanks, Mom!!! I love this happy little guy!! Happy birthday, Isaac!
