Then we waded into the water and played Baby Moses, meaning Chris and I put him in a floatie and sailed him back and forth, a la Exodus 2: “When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.” A fine child indeed!
Then our fine child was very very sleepy, so we thought a stroll along the boardwalk and down the pier to disrupt the seagulls might be just the ticket. Would he fall asleep? No, he would not. So home we went, Isaac took a nap, and for dinner we grilled steaks out back and fed Isaac more (!!!) banana.
