It is with great pleasure that I introduce The Scoop 2.0!!
This was a completely impractical purchase. But it felt so right, and brings me such satisfaction. So maybe not so impractical after all.
Then: the Scoop and I zipped around Yamato (sometimes with Tammy Ward Photography!). Then, we zoomed home through the rain of cherry blossom petals in the tree tunnel on the Road of a Thousand Blossoms alongside the river. Then, we climbed the hill to the park when the weather turned cold and the leaves changed to gold. Then, we slowed down traffic puttering from Kamakura along the coast at sunset to Enoshima. Then, I drove it through a typhoon because our car wasn’t working!
Now, Scoopoint-0 and I cruise to the museum, scarf fluttering. My helmet is pink, not red: a softer version of who I used to be. Again, we park briefly to admire the cherry blossoms—now on the other side of the world—and zip home to my happy kids. Some things have changed. Many have not. Long live The Scoop!
