The sun sets around 5pm now. We’ve had the most gorgeous weather the whole time we’ve been here, so we didn’t even mind a few rainy, overcast days this week. I saw a family of dolphins—including some really small ones that kept close together!! Adorable!!—playing in Pensacola Pass Tuesday.
And Sunday we saw a doe and two fawns at night. I stepped on a sting ray Saturday and did NOT get stung. We’ve been watching for them, because it’s their mating season and we used to always see them jumping and swimming around this time of year, so I should have been shuffling my feet. We were both surprised, but it just swam away. The ones here are small, less than a couple feet wide.
Eloise and I saw a seagull catch and gulp down a moderately sized crab.
Seen any interesting wildlife lately?
